Message Bronze is a copper alloy like Brass. Bronze is copper and tin, while brass is copper and zinc.

Bronze is used as a bearing material and in parts that wear because it has a low co-efficient of friction with most other metals, in other words it easily slides over metal. Aluminum tends to gall with a lot of materials, meaning it sticks and gums up. Bronze is also often very porous and lubricants work well with it.
